The Rise of the Infographic – Introduction to Affiliate Marketing

Finally, I jump on the Infographic bandwagon. Seeing as this is now "white hat SEO" I thought I would post a few free infographics in the hope I will become one of the cool kids. Feel free to hotlink and/or pinch and link to these.

After all - that is the point................ This is my first one.

Panda Update Google Slap Part Two

Well - Ouch! and Ouch! again. Big Daddy G made it good and clear they don't like "content farms" when they rolled out the second stage of their new search algorithm into the rest of the English speaking world.  Everyone has their own idea of the whys, wherefors and wotsits, but all I see is a great big helping of ehow/ebay/amazon/wikipedia/Rupert Murdoch spread over the first couple of pages of search results and in some cases I have a feeling no amount of extra backlinks is going to fix it.

Of course, it is not all bad news, and those of my loyal fans and followers at hubpages (definitely considered a content farm by Big G right now) who are aware of my anti-religious feelings will be pleased to know my " Creation v Evolution " masterpiece (where I prove that god does not exist using proof and evidence) saw a massive spike in traffic when the latest changes were rolled out. Just look at them stats.  It's a MIRACLE!

I can hardly wait for the new influx of ignorant comments and Jesus-inspired hate mail to start flowing my way. I was already the lucky recipient of substantial amounts of hard-to-argue-with logic such as

Billions of witnesses testifying with tears of joy over the past thousand of years is my first presentation to you. They all say about the same thing; thereby, One with an open mind can deduce that the unique experience is real and points to one entity or source. Common sense plays the major role in this situation and trumps logic.

Say what? Definitely hard to argue with eloquence of this standard, but it rather sounds like the McDonalds argument to me. I see your "logic" and raise you 7 billion uneducated peasants......

Any how - back to the recent google changes. Personally - I am not terribly impressed with the search results I am getting from Mr Google, (unless I want to buy some plastic crap from China) and I gather a lot of searchers are moving to Bing. One can only hope those will improve as time goes by and as I can't claim to have a crystal ball as to where we will end up - here are a few other "expert" opinions on the recent changes:

Hey - I can copy a chart too and this is proof Bing will be better than Google by 2088

Bing v Google The Final Smackdown - Or will it be Jesus v Mohamed? Prophesy anyone?

Here are some more "experts" on the Panda update:

Business insider is particularly clueless - I can only assume the guy that wrote this is an evangelist... Oh wait... A slap from this guy isn't fun Sadly - this is front page result when searching for "panda update" on Google. And I quote:

The recent update didn't seem to impact any business type or industry more than any other.
What? Are you kidding me? Tell that to the guys affiliate marketing electronics or offering medical "advice." Some industries most definitely been affected more than others - an - no - I ain't telling.
Search engine watch says Goodbye to Low-quality Link Building . Gawd - how funny is that when their front page is plastered with a great big "Low quality link building service," Advertisement?

Don't Buy These Low Quality Links!

Considering that the soon-to-be-a-better-search-engine-than-google - Bing - only recognizes great swathes of low quality links - I am taking this with a great big pinch of salt. Got to wonder how these guys are making any money when they are telling their readers not to use their advertisers. Is it just me - or did IQs just drop suddenly while I was away? Ripley - Aliens 2.

Now - I actually like what SEO Moz do SEO -wise and their analysis rather demonstrates Business Insider have absolutely no clue what they are talking about. Why is that a first page result? Damn good question. This is SEO Moz's analysis of the recent changes - and if you want some genuine information - read this one first - We know what we are talking about.

I for one am taking their advice already - I am sitting back and waiting for the dust to settle, examining the new reality and buying as many low quality links as I can afford.  A selection of other opinions and speculations:

Good luck out there.
