Blogging For A Living Is Fun and Dangerous

Well - it has been a while since I updated my personal blog much - mainly because I don't make much money with this and it is mostly a bit of fun. Blogging can actually be fun - one of my favorite posts "Mark Knowles is a douche bag," allows me to poke fun, not just at myself, but anyone else who comes across my radar as being poke worthy. Of course - some people take a joke better than others and I usually manage to overstep the mark.

I was spending a lot of my online time at hubpages until recently, but the recent google panda update has decimated hubpages' authority with google and decimated the earning potential also. Oh well - C'est la Vie, as we say in France. I always say that if you want to make money blogging, you need to diversify, and while I had invested considerable time and effort into hubpages, I also have quite a lot of outside interests - some of which have benefited from the recent changes. There is something to be said for 60% of your content not being complete garbage after all. :-D

By the time hubpages had finished cleaning house, I have a feeling they will have deleted half the site, removed all religious nonsense, "weight loss majik berry," crap, " run you car on water," spam and "how to make a fortune overnight forex trading" - and maybe it will regain some of it's former glory. I certainly hope so, because it has been a great place to publish for peopel outside those writing what Rupert Murdoch wants written.

Personally - I think those days are gone and Big Daddy G was pressured into this change by the big media boys. Oh well - C'est la Vie. This is not the first time a lot of people lost money with a google algorithm change and it won't be the last - that is what happens when you rely on search engine traffic. All good fun and as long as we can adapt and analyze the new paradigm - we should be fine.

Starting A Blog Just Got Easier

Are you looking to start a new blog, but are struggling to find a niche that is not completely saturated? Good - because I am looking for a few bloggers interested in blogging in the foreclosure niche. I have a new blogging model underway and need a few good men (or women or transgender or whatever floats your boat). The fact is - as the non-depression that never happened and is all over now except for a few austerity measures applied to those  least able to afford them, more and more people are looking for the best way to make money online - which means more and more competition in just about every niche.

So - please contact me if you are interested here - mark (at) markpknowles.com

This is the site - bank properties and I propose a 25/75% google adsense revenue split in your favor, plus opportunities to sell your own banner ads and revenue split banner ads I plan to sell in the future. This is world wide and I need bloggers interested in covering the foreclosure and house repossession situation in the USA, the UK, Spain, Australia and anywhere else you may have an interest in covering.

I will take care of all technical aspects. All you need to do is write. The site is already strong and will continue to get stronger as time goes by.

Drop me a line of you are interested.

Hubpages 60 day challenge :: I must be nuts

I seem to be a sucker for every hubpages challenge that comes along and have accepted the 60 day challenge this time. I like this one because 50% of the energy expended will be on the promotional side of things and as any fool will tell you if you want to make money blogging you need to promote your work. So - my commitment is to make 30 new hubs minimum and then spend 30 days on promoting all hubs in the challenge.

These are my first few hubs - all around the "making money online" niche. This niche is hard to break into because of the massive amounts of spam and scams in the industry, but I am confident the extra promo activity will help to propel them to the forefront of the search engines. ....

Wish me luck.........
