What a Weird World – Lance Armstrong had his bike Stolen, it is still against the law in Arkansas to hold public office unless you believe in god and Michael Jackson’s collection of Crap is up for Auction

Good grief! The world just gets weirder and weirder.

Some one just stole Lance Armstrong's Time trial bike. Mr Armstrong posted about the theft on Twitter and is obviously pissed. Lance Armstrong is pissed.  I would be pissed too - esopecially as this is a one off and almost worthless to anyone unless they want to keep it locked in a vault somewhere.

I didn't realize this but apparently, in that great American backwater, Arkansas, it is against the law to hold civil office if you do not believe in a magical, invisible super-being. Despite the fact that believing in an invisible god is about as un-rational as it gets, this is true. Attempts are being made to rectify the situation but it is an uphill battle.

Michael Jackson got some more bad news this week, with the announcement that all his favorite toys are to be auctioned off in April. Neverland ranch has been foreclosed upon and some of the proceeds go to charity. Neverland ranch auction.

Too wierd for me.

David Attenborough gets hate mail?

I was shocked to discover that one of my all time favorite TV presenters, David Attenborough, gets hate mail from Christian creationists because he does not credit an invisible super-being as creating all the wonderful wildlife he presents in his TV programs. I am all confused.... once again, at the stunning amount of garbage and hate spread in the name of religion. David Attenborough is wonderful, and I have watched his presentations for as long as I can remember. This one was voted as a favorite clip by British viewers.

I cannot imagine anyone hating David Attenborough, but according to the Guardian, a British newspaper, there are plenty of them. "They tell me to burn in hell and good riddance," said Mr Attenborough. Oh well, it must be hell having your core belief system questioned every time you pick up a newspaper or turn on the TV. Odd really - it seems as though most of the climate change deniers just happen to be hard-core christians as well. Wonder why?

Mark Knowles is a douchebag

As a full-time professional blogger, I expect the occasional disagreement with people in public. This is normal – I disagree with people in real life, so why should it not happen online?

I clashed with some one recently. No big deal and quickly settled, but despite the fact that we both agreed it was a mistake and moved on, some people outside the argument and no stake in the discussion other than being readers decided to take it upon themselves to make a few personal attacks on me.

These rather silly attacks involved accusing me of just about everything from being a child molester to a woman-hater. They apparently based these accusations on my collection of funny photographs. If you are easily offended, feel free to look at my “fun” page and get your knickers in a twist.

I am fortunate enough to live in a free country where I can pick and choose what I find funny and poke fun at anyone I feel like. Other people seem to disagree with that concept and would rather see me hanged, drawn and quartered than allow me that freedom. Although, if you are one of those sort of people, also – feel free to take a look at my collection of photographs and you will most-likely discover exactly what I think of you in one of those.

Although, I must admit, I am all tuckered out from hitting the “spam,” button. I actually had to hit it twice. And you can take that any way you like it if you are thinking of leaving me a comment.

If only some one could come up with something better than “Mark Knowles is a Douchebag.”

I do enjoy a good argument, but if people are going to enter a battle of wits, it is usually a good idea to enter the fray armed :D

Celebrity Death Watch – Google Hot Trends

As a blogger and internet writer, one of the resources I use is google's Trends LABS "Hot Trends," which can be found here - Google Hot Trends USA

Google hot trends hot boobs

I usually watch the American trends, and I gotta say - you guys search for some strange shit on google. Celebrity deaths? WTF dude?

No celebrities apart from George Carlin have died recently, yet yesterday, the hot search term being used on google was "celebrity death." A day later, it is still up there.

Gay Socialites puts it down to a rumor started by Perez Hilton, who apparently posted that he had heard a celebrity died. He then removed the post and said he wasn't going to say who had died so as not to perpetuate the rumor.

Don't you people have anything better to do? When something like this hits the hot trends, you have to wonder at the use the internet is being put to. I wonder what we could achieve if we put that amount of effort into some thing worthwhile, like building a new Tower of Babel or developing a thinner iPhone.

Makes you think huh?
