George Carlin on Death

Well, that sux. George Carlin had the bad grace to go and die today. Mark is not impressed. I only discovered the joys of Mr. Carlin a few years ago and now the bugger is dead before I even had a chance to meet him and tell him how not annoying he was. I do have some of his books, and always found his humor in line with my own way of thinking. I will certainly miss his wit, but I thought it would be appropriate to post this video:

And in true George Carlin style, for my friend DJ who is seriously upset, a few more photos and to paraphrase Mr. Carlin:

Get the fuck over it already you fuckin’ baby! :D

A toast to you, George Carlin. Your humour and wit will live on in our memories.

I’d like to think that you’re on a stage somewhere up there doing what you do best: making them cramp with laughter.

Farewell George. Thank you for all the laughter.

Vale George Carlin.

I think you first came to my attention with your skit about the 7 words you couldn’t say on television.

Wherever you are now, keep giving them HEAPS !!!

I think George’s view on the afterlife was not unlike my own :)

I first noticed him on an HBO special, and couldn’t work out why it took me so long to discover him. One of the funniest guys I have ever heard speak.
