Funny Atheism Photo Collection

In honor of baby jesus’ birthday I thought a collection of photos poking fun at my religionist friends would be in order. I have sadly come to the conclusion that it is not worth speaking to these people any more after a “debate” went south at hubpages. Having been accused of “refusing to debate,” I challenged a religionist to a debate, the laughable results of which are here – Biblical Creation vs Evolution

His opening statement rather floored me as it included references to dragons in China being dinosaurs and compared the Grand Canyon to a bath tub with rings forming after washing a dirty child in in – all as a basis to argue that evolution is wrong, therefore the bible is right.

I do not quite understand the logic of this argument, because there are thousands of creation fairy tales in our distant past so even if evolution was a lie spread by liberal, christian-hating, gay-loving, commie scientists intent on destroying American “family values,” – I don’t see how the talking snake gets to be the default theory.

Either way, I was forced to dispense with any actual scientific evidence as apparently all science is completely wrong. I was a little shocked at the level of willfull ignorance displayed and did not bother going through the further rounds we had agreed to. It is a little hard to debate with some one who makes up their own unsubstantiated science as proof that the bible must be right but I am planning a new business venture selling dinosaur hunting trips to China in the near future. I see a big audience in the bible belt.

I have written a couple of  articles over at hubpages about Christians recently – the so-called evolution vs creation debate – which does not actually exist is alive and well over there and the christian religion seems hell bent (sic) on causing so much strife that we do bring on Armageddon. Apparently these guys are waiting expectantly for Jesus to come back and take them off to heaven. Personally – I can hardly wait, and many of them do not seem to have irony DNA……proof of evolution in action……….. :D

And now for a little fun. Seeing as it is impossible to have a reasonable – nay any – conversation with these guys, I will join the ranks of all the other non-believers and poke fun instead. You want to believe that there were dinosaurs in China recently – that is your business. But expect to get laughed at. :)

And not to leave out the Mormons, at least this one shows a few of them have a sense of humor. A Mormon MILF for your viewing pleasure. I don’t know if they believe the stuff about the dinosaurs, but as what little I do know about their belief system is pretty outrageous, so it doesn’t really matter.

And introducing this year’s most popular jesus’ birthday gift amongst catholics – the Mass Nintendo Wii, which hands down beats a Sony PS3 80 Gig any day. Happy New Year :D

The funny way of considering atheism is a good idea, Marc.
When there is nothing left, still do we have humour, right?
I really like the dinos pic.
Thank you for this and well done

As an evolutionist myself, here’s a scientific argument to creationism (not evolution) that I have never been able to combat. The argument is presented by having everyone stand in a circle with their left arm on the right shoulder of the adjacent person. The rules are simple physics: energy cannot be created or destroyed so you can’t tap a shoulder until your shoulder is tapped. This circle is the beginning: go! If you obey the rules of physics nothing will happen–nobody can tap because they haven’t been tapped, remember energy cannot be created or destroyed. So how do you get the process rolling? There has to be something outside of the circle that does not obey the rules of (known) physics that can create the energy and tap a shoulder to get the thing rolling. Its called the “un-tapped tapper”–an entity that can create energy that does not obey the rules of physics — god? From what I’ve read, I believe the original argument was brought up by Descartes, but I’m not sure. I wonder how Einstein would respond to this argument against one of his most fundamental rules of the universe. I’m guessing here, but I think he’d say “science is young and evolving, we learn more and more every day. One day we might be able to explain this.” He’d say this because he wasn’t an atheist. As he once said “Please understand the bigotry of the nonbeliever is for me nearly as funny as the bigotry of the believer.”

I’m still thinking if this “we pray” game is just stupid or a brilliant idea. Maybe it’s a good example for guerilla marketing. :-)

Got a good laugh out of those pictures. The religious always possess an arrogance and belief that any other belief other than there own is pure ignorance, quite frustrating to say the least.
