Atheist Advertising Campaign Starts in London while Australian Christian Says Going Topless on a Beach Means you are easy

I found a couple of interesting videos on Reuters recently which pretty much say everything you need to know about the difference between believers and non-believers. Or at least – some of them. God forbid I lump all christians or atheists in together as a group.

The first one is the AWESOME ! bus advertising campaign organized in London with the slogan:

There’s probably no god. Now stop worrying and enjoy your life.

This sounds like perfectly sound advice to me, but over in Oz, a Christian “morals” campaigner is trying to make it illegal for women to go topless on the beach. Sheesh !

What I found interesting were the comments of opponents of both sides. Here is a quote from the christian opposing the bus campaign. “Mumble, mumble, mumble, credit crunch, generosity…..”

I am not quite sure what the credit crunch has to do with god, but some how I am getting the impression from teh Archbishop of Canterbury that the church is not a big fan of over spending. Monumental buildings and gold and jewel encrusted robes notwithstanding. Make your own mind up about the topless girls…… :)

Very intersting artcile, I liked the concept of GOD and topless beach sun bathing clubbed together.
More than God, its the religion itself that causing the pains in todays world. Religious preachers should provide more caution to avoid hatred amongst non believers and followers of other religions.
Last thought if top less is banned, why bother going to a beach ? :-)

While I will say the atheist advertisements are clever and funny, really, what purpose do they serve other than to a) anger people who are religious and b) make the non-religious say, “Yeah! That’s right!”?

You’re not going to change anyone’s thinking with that confrontational, derisive marketing approach.

A difficult topic to debate on, the supernatural power in universe is called god, we people have personified them with different names. As they are 2 sides of a coin they are 2 different strong beliefs, some believe in self motivation and power and say there is no god. So say a supernatural power called god helps us in living the life successful, and forcing a particular life style for believers of god and forcing them to do it is wrong.
